Services We Provide

Bronchoscopy (Diagnostic and Interventional)

Bronchoscopy is usually performed as an outpatient procedure allowing the doctor to observe your airway through an instrument called a bronchoscope. Diagnostic bronchoscopy is used to assess what type of lung problems exist. Interventional bronchoscopy is used to actually treat the problem. Some examples are treatment of bleeding in the lung (hemoptysis), tumors, placement of stents, removal of aspirated foreign bodies. It is sometimes guided by fluoroscopy.

Pulmonary Function Tests

Lung function tests may be ordered when a person is experiencing shortness of breath, or if there is suspected lung disease. They also may be ordered preoperatively to determine lung function. This test gives your doctor more detailed information about how you are able to move air in and out of your lungs.

Nocturnal Pulse Oximetry

This is an overnight test that records your oxygenation as you sleep. It can help determine if you require oxygen while you sleep or if you may need further testing.

Nebulizer Treatments

These are aerosolized medicated breathing treatments administered for bronchospasm, wheezing, and shortness of breath when clinically indicated.

This is the most common type of pulmonary function testing. It measures lung function, specifically the amount (volume) and/or speed (flow) of air that can be inhaled and exhaled. Spirometry is an important tool used for generating pneumotachographs, which are helpful in assessing conditions such as asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, cystic fibrosis, and COPD.

An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a test that records the electrical activity of the heart.

Allergy Testing

Skin allergy testing is a method for medical diagnosis for allergies that attempts to provoke a small, controlled, allergic response. In the prick (scratch) test, a few drops of the purified allergen are gently pricked on to the skin surface, usually the forearm. This test is usually done in order to identify allergies to pet dander, dust, pollen, foods or dust mites.

TB Testing

PPD for (purified protein derivative) is a diagnostic tool for tuberculosis where the serum id placed under the skin and the patient returns to the office in 72 hours for the test to be interpreted.
